What makes for a good museum? It should be an enjoyable experience to move through. Security & bag dropoff shouldn’t be awkward. Signage should be clear. The exhibits should be interesting. The wall text should teach you something about what you’re looking at. You should, ideally, come out a changed person. If you’re going with others, you should be able to share in an experience that draws you together. A few things are secondary to this. Architecture, the café. Froggyland, the best museum, is focused on one goal: ensuring you have the best possible experience. They’ve been doing it for a hundred years. They know what’s going on by now. All other museums are imitators.
